Thanks to all the repairers for a great effort, John for doing meet and greet, Janine for booking in, Kirstin for the photos and Alan for being our Miscellaneous Fixer.
As always the sewers were busy from the beginning to the end of the session. We had none of the usual bike health checkers and Ruth’s bike needed a new brake cable. Fatefully John had one and Alan stepped up and fixed it.
Making things last longer
Every Repair Cafe is about people and sustainability. People who care for their things want them to last longer. Team do their best. They fix everything they can. For example Ruth brought in her bike because it was not safe to ride. The usual Bike Health Checkers were not out, John had the part and Alan did the fix so it is OK now.
Refreshments are available
Visitors can buy drinks and cakes provided by the Church. Repairs are free however donations to keep the Repair Cafe going are very much appreciated.
The next Repair Cafe
The next Repair Cafe is booked for Saturday, November 30th. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
