The latest poster carries the latest logo. Hope you like it! There are almost 40 posters around town and a couple of people I talked with said they might come along to help on the day. We do need more volunteers so if you are interested please come to Guisborough Methodist Church Hall next Saturday and meet the team. You might get a free cuppa if you volunteer.

The objective of the Repair Cafe is to help the community and reduce carbon emissions that affect climate change.
It may seem odd but lots of people could probably do a rough sewing job but can’t thread a needle. Some people can’t sew but could help by unpicking stitches and save the sewers lots of time. Our Mr Fix It is good with glue and fixing things and I’m told someone has a sewing machine that needs fixing so they will bring it along on Saturday. He’ll enjoy the challenge.
The Repair Cafe is often an opportunity to do something different for the community. Last month Edith collected warm clothes for Night Lite and lots of people handed in their donation.
The weather is not wonderful but some people, fair weather cyclists, are preparing to get out and about on their bikes. If that includes you bring yours to the Repair Cafe. Our bike checker will take a look to make sure yours is safe to ride.
The Repair Cafe could be an opportunity to talk about the incinerator. Not many people know the council plans to build one. It will emit 450,000 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide pa for the next 30 years.
Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas responsible for solar warming and climate change. If you care for the environment please sign the Stop the Incinerator petition run by S.I.N.E. on the website.
On my computer, to get to the petition I have to left click on the website above and click on the ‘Stop tees valley cou…’ that pops up.
Your signature could be the one that stops the council going ahead and giving us all time to think. Without your signature the build may go ahead without another thought. We all may live to regret it!
Best wishes,
Fred
